Eye Bank

The Lions Club of Bowmanville is responsible for transporting donated eyes from Lakeridge Health Bowmanville to the Eye Bank located at 1929 Bayview Avenue Suite 203, Toronto. The club made its first delivery on October 15^th, 2000 and since that date we have delivered over 169 sets of eyes from Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, Fosterbrooke Life Care Centre in Newcastle and Lakeridge Health Port Perry.  

We offer this important service 24 hours a day 7 day a week at no cost to the hospital or the Eye Bank.

This committee reports to the Board of Directors. Membership is for a one year term, though members can stay on the committee for longer periods, upto three years.
