Finance Committee
This is a small committee with a huge
responsibility. It
is chaired by the club treasurer and has
an assistant treasurer as the backup.
This committee oversees and reports
on the club’s overall
finances, both service and administration.
The Administration accounts are those relating solely to
the Club
members, things like Annual Dues, dinner fees, paying caterers, etc. The Service accounts are
those having public
funds in them. These are used to fund our various projects and services.
This committee is also responsible for completing and filing a variety of Federal, Provincial & Municipal tax forms that affect the club as a whole. Additionally where there is a report-back requirement, the Treasurer addresses it.
Insurance coverage is also monitored and recommendations are made to the Directors. This includes coverage for bar, nursery school and van operations along with the general activities of the club.
This committee reports quarterly in writing to the members with a full presentation annually at a regular meeting. It also prepares the annual budget.
The Treasurer is one of the Club’s Executive Directors. The is an appointed position, by the club President.
